Meet our Teachers!

Paige Brandt

Mrs. Brandt grew up in South Carolina and moved to Virginia to attend Liberty University. She graduated in 2014 and has been teaching first grade at RES since! She is married to Dave and they have a sweet baby girl, Addison. She loves spending time with her family, crafting, traveling, and all things southern (hello, sweet tea + college football!!) She loves teaching and considers her students her “kids” - part of her family! 


Lori Hammond
Mrs. Hammond grew up in Florida near the beach and the Everglades! She moved to Virginia with her husband, Mike and 3 children, John Wray, Ashlynn, and Thomas, 15 years ago and now considers beautiful Virginia her home! When she is not teaching her passion is her family. Mrs. Hammond has been married for almost 30 years! Her family has grown to include a beautiful daughter-in-law, Kelly, and a wonderful son-in-law, Joseph. She also has a “fur” baby, Nixon, and 2 “fur” grandbabies, Alice and Daisy! She is happiest spending time with her family in the mountains or just hanging out at home! Mrs. Hammond has always wanted to be a teacher! She loves teaching and watching her students learn and grow. Her students become part of her family and she loves to get visits from them year after year!

 




Lisa Hendricks
Mrs. Hendricks graduated from Longwood College and will be going into her 25th year as a teacher. She is married to Timmy, and they have 3 children Joshua, Dylan, and Madison as well as a daughter-in-law, Amanda.  Mrs. Hendricks loves spending time with her family which includes 2 granddaughters Kylie and LeighAnn.  She enjoys time outdoors, reading, shopping, and most of all spending time with her family. 


Jennifer Swearingen
"Mrs S" is married with two sweet kids, Lucas and Briella. She graduated from Radford University and has been teaching for six years of which she has enjoyed every bit of it!   When not at school, she loves to hang out with her family, teach dance, and find new ideas on Pinterest!  Once you are a part of her class, you become a part of her family!
