Fourth Grade

Megan Elliott, Mikayla Sandmann, Krista Miller, Katie Tweedy

Mrs. Elliott has always wanted to be a teacher ever since first grade. Having grown up in a military family, she has lived in over 6 states including California. In 2014, she completed her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Child Psychology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She is most recently moving from Raleigh, North Carolina where she taught grades 3, 4, and 5 for four years. 4th grade has her heart and she is thrilled to be a part of the RES family!

Ever since she can remember, Miss Miller has wanted to be a teacher. Miss Miller grew up in Hagerstown, Maryland and moved to Lynchburg in 2012 to attend Liberty University. She graduated in 2016 with her degree in elementary education with a concentration in history. She began teaching 4th grade at RES in April of 2017 and has been loving it here ever since! In her free time Miss Miller enjoys hanging out with her friends, reading a good book, serving in her church, and cheering on her Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Steelers during baseball and football season.

Mrs. Tweedy grew up in a small, Virginia town called Tappahannock (say that three times fast). She then went on to study Human Development at Virginia Tech. While there, she discovered she had a passion for education. To make her teaching career come true, Mrs. Tweedy went on to receive her M.Ed. degree from Lynchburg College. Since then she has taught fourth and fifth grade. Her favorite subject is reading and in her free time, Mrs. Tweedy likes to snuggle with her dog, Chief, and spend time with her husband on their farm. She loves her students and can't wait to create a classroom community with them!
