Stevie Brooks received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Lynchburg. This is her second full year teaching here at RES. Ms. Brooks was lucky enough to begin her teaching career as a long term substitute here at RES and since then, she knew RES was the place to be! In her free time, Ms. Brooks loves to spend time with her family and friends. She also loves to spend a lot of time shopping as well! She is a proud dog mom to her sweet girl Sadie. Ms. Brooks is looking forward to a great year at RES and she is so thankful to be apart of such an amazing team.
This is Ms. Clay's first year teaching and she couldn't be more excited! She previously received her Bachelor's Degree in Human Services with a minor in Psychology from Old Dominion University. She began working at RES in 2022 as an Instructional Assistant and soon after got the opportunity to be a long term substitute teacher in Kindergarten and knew that's where her heart belonged! She obtained her licensure through iTeach and is so grateful to be able to stay at RES! In her free time, Ms. Clay loves to spend time with her family and friends. She loves to workout, travel and the North Carolina Tar Heels! She is also a dog mom to a sweet husky named Carolina! Ms. Clay feels so grateful to be here with this team and her students!
This is Jennifer Swearingen's 12th year of teaching. She started her teaching career at Heritage Elementary School, where she spent 3 years before coming to RES. Ms. S has taught a variety of grades, including, second grade, first grade, and kindergarten. Ms. S loves dance and she also owns her own dance studio, Bust a Move! When she is not at school, you can find her at the dance studio or one of her kids practices. Ms. Swearingen Is excited for the new school year and to meet her new students!
