School Counseling
Lisa Lowes is so excited to be entering her 20th year in School Counseling!
This is her 7th year at RES, and she is so happy to have the opportunity to work with each and every student! She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Counseling at LIberty University. Mrs. Lowes is married to Chris and has two daughters -Peyton and Shayne. In her spare time, you can find her on the softball field or volleyball court cheering on her girls. She loves reading, staying active, playing with her dog Biggie, and spending time with family and friends. She is very happy to have the opportunity to work with her RES team, students, and families again this school year.
Mrs. Lowes’s School Counseling Connection:
Character Strong - This school year, RES will continue to use our Character Strong curriculum. This program is designed to teach social skills, conflict resolution, executive functioning, and emotional regulation. Each month we will have a different school-wide character theme that will be included in the Bulldog Bulletin. There will be a strong emphasis on getting back to the basics of Kindness and Empathy. September’s Character Strong Theme is Responsibility!
Responsibility is taking action and understanding the impact of our choices.
Please help spread the word by talking with your child about what it means to be responsible at home, at school, and in the community.
Food Bags - We are once again partnering with Food For Thought to provide weekend food bags to families. Please feel free to contact me if your family is in need or are interested in being involved in the program or have any questions at lisa.lowes@campbell.k12.va.us
I look forward to a wonderful school year here at RES! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if I can be of assistance to your child or your family.
