Beth Gordon is thrilled to begin her 33rd year of teaching at Rustburg Elementary. Being able to serve the community in which she grew up brings her much joy! Here are a few things about Mrs. Gordon: she is a graduate of Liberty University. She and her husband have 4 grown children, who are all married, so they are officially "empty nesters". Their newest role in life is being "Nana and Pop" to their two grandsons which they love immensely!! Mrs. Gordon feels blessed to begin a new year in 2nd grade at RES!
Mrs. McQuaid is very excited to start her first year teaching! She graduated from University of Lynchburg with her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She is a proud dog mom to her sweet doberman Zeus and in her free time she loves to travel and spend time with family and friends. Mrs. McQuaid will also be getting married this October and will then become Mrs.Soyars. She is looking forward to an incredible year and very thankful for the team she gets to work with!
Madi Neiderer is excited to start her 6th year teaching, but first year at Rustburg Elementary. A few things about Mrs. Neiderer are: she is a graduate of Virginia Tech (GO HOKIES!), she has a family she loves adventuring with (a husband, a 14 month old boy, and a 3 year old golden retriever), and she loves EVERYTHING sports. On the weekends, you will find her hiking, relaxing at the lake, or watching sports. She loves everything about Virginia Tech athletics! She is very thankful to be at RES and can't wait to build relationships with her students.
Mrs. Roberts was raised in Midlothian, Virginia, and she and her husband of 32 years, Wren, have lived in several places before landing in Lynchburg Va (her husband’s hometown) 17 years ago. She spent 3 years teaching private preschool, 14 years in Lynchburg City Schools, and the past year in Rustburg. When she is not teaching she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her three grown children (Alex, 30; Elena, 27, and Miles, 24). She also enjoys crocheting, painting, and anything creative.
